Finance Department Rajasthan issued an order related to amendment in pension rules
In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Rajasthan hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Rajasthan Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 1996, namely:-
1. Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Rajasthan Civil Services (Pension) (Amendment) Rules, 2023.
(2) They shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from 01-04-2023.
2. Amendment of rule 54.- In sub-rule (2) of rule 54 of the Rajasthan Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 1996, hereinafter referred to as the said rules,-
(i) in clause (a), for the existing expression "twenty eight years", the expression "twenty five years" shall be substituted; and
(ii) in clause (b), for the existing expression "twenty eight years", the expression "twenty five years" shall be substituted.
3. Insertion of new rule 54B.- After the existing rule 54A and before the existing rule 55 of the said rules, the following new rule 54B shall be inserted, namely:- "54B. Allowance to pensioners/family pensioners.- Additional Allowance @10% of the basic pension/family pension to the pensioners/ family pensioners, as the case may be, on attaining the age of 75 years shall be given. This allowance shall be given to pensioners/family pensioners upto the age of 80 years and no deamness relief shail be payable on such allowance."
4. Amendment of rule 66.- In rule 66 of the said rules, for the existing expression "9500/-", wherever occurring, the expression "12,500/-" shall be substituted.
5. Amendment of rule 67.- In rule 67 of the said rules,-
(1) for the existing expression "9500/-", wherever occurring, the expression 12,500/-" shall be substituted; and (ii) the existing EXPLANATION (1) shall be substituted by the following, namely:-
(1) A son/daughter shall become ineligible for family pension from the date he/she gets married or on earning a monthly income exceeding Rs.12,500/- per month. He/she shall be required to produce six monthly a certificate regarding marital status and an annual certificate regarding monthly income but in case of son/daughter suffering from a mental or physical disability, his/her marital status shall not affect the eligibility for family pension.
6. Amendment of Form 7.- In Annexure II of form 7 appended to the said rules, for the existing figure "66", the figure "50" shall be substituted.
7. Amendment of Form No. 33.- In Form No. 33 appended to the said rules, in serial number 10,-
(i) for the existing expression "(Maximum 56)", the expression
"(Maximum 50)" shall be substituted; and
(ii) for the existing figure "56", the figure "50" shall be substituted.
